Brick Snaps

Wax coated clay brick tiles of varying face sizes all of which are generally 15mm thick are laid face down in plastic or rubber templates supplied by the brick manufacturer and arranged into the required patterns by the precaster on casting beds. After the laying of the brick pattern, casting of concrete follows conventional methods. Following the lifting of panels the plastic or rubber templates are removed. The client has the option of factory cleaning the brick finish or site cleaning the facade after the building is complete thereby utilising the wax coating as a protecting coating during the construction phase. The wax coating is removed along with any residual concrete slurry using a pressure washer. The resulting brick snap facade delivers a uniform finish with a level of tolerance unequalled by traditional bricklaying.
